The 6th edition of the Abidjan Animation Film Festival will take place from May 2 to 7.
Created by the AIFA (Abidjan Animation Film Association), the FFAA is an important cultural event that offers its participants a different perspective on animation and its importance in job creation and the development of emerging countries in the years to come.
Among the members of the association organizing the event is Abel Kouamé, founder of the Afrikatoon animation studio, who was interviewed by Adweknow:
"There aren't many animation studios in the French-speaking world, but initiatives are multiplying in countries such as Burkina Faso, Senegal, and Cameroon. We need to promote these initiatives and this work through events such as festivals and other animation-related events. That's why we launched the Abidjan Animation Film Festival."
More information will be revealed soon about the detailed program for the event and the list of animated films selected for this edition.
