IPTV in SENEGAL: +22.4% in the first quarter of 2023

According to data from the Omedia institute, which tracks TV advertising investment in Senegal and other French-speaking African countries, advertising spending rose by 22.4% in the first quarter of 2023 compared to the first quarter of 2022.

With increases of 43% each, January and February are in line with 2022, when television advertising investment grew by 40%.

March saw only slight growth, but this compares with March 2022, which saw a more than threefold increase in volume compared with the previous year.

Thus, 2023 looks particularly positive in Senegal, where, it should be noted, IPTV continues to grow strongly year on year (+20% in 2021 compared to 2020, and +40% between 2021 and 2022).

During this first quarter, in addition to the big traditional advertisers in the telecom, health and beauty, and betting sectors, such as ORANGE, 1XBET SUNUBET, and SUPER CORRECTEUR, there are more institutional advertisers who communicate in a more event-driven manner: AFRIMA AWARDS, at the top of the TOP 10 in January, the Senegalese Football Federation, and the Ministry of Health and Social Action.
