Telesud, the television channel owned by Amougou Belinga, has announced that it is closing its doors in Paris. Laurent Leleux, Telesud's editor-in-chief, shared the news on his LinkedIn account, expressing his gratitude for the opportunities afforded to him over the past three years.
"It's official, Telesud is closing its doors. Thank you for giving me the opportunity, over the past three years, to produce and present the TLS+ program, during which I had the chance to welcome more than a hundred guests. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to keep our viewers informed about current events in Africa by presenting more than 200 midday news programs. Thank you for allowing me to make my first documentary on "the school of excellence in Djibouti."
A page is turning, and now it's time to think about the next one," he said.
Telesud, headquartered in Paris, France, was acquired in February 2020 by Cameroonian entrepreneur Jean Pierre Amougou Belinga, known as the promoter of the L’Anecdote Group. This media group includes the television channels Vision 4 Cameroun and Vision 4 RCA, La Radio Satellite FM, the weekly newspaper L’Anecdote, as well as companies such as Microfinance Vision Finance and Issam University.
