Journalist, producer, and presenter at RFI since 1994, Alain Foka announced his departure from RFI a few weeks ago.
The renowned Cameroonian media personality will now focus on developing his newly created AFO Medias group, with the ambition of turning it into a major media group whose intention is to talk about "Africa without complacency but without condescension."
The group already has the ALAIN FOKA OFFICIEL (AFO) channel, which has 715,000 subscribers on YouTube and offers content including documentaries on African history, exclusive interviews, and debates.

In addition, Alain Foka announces the creation, along with 14 other prominent figures, of MANSSAH GROUP, a consulting firm specializing in lobbying, communications, and marketing.
A graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies, the Paris Journalism Training Center (CFJ), and the Higher School of Audiovisual Production (ESRA), Alain Foka began his career as a journalist at France Inter, then joined Europe 1 and La Cinq as a reporter. In 1994, he joined RFI, where he produced and hosted numerous magazines, including Archives d'Afrique, Afrique Plus, and Le débat Africain.
Alain Foka has also produced around 50 documentaries under the banner of his company Phoenix, which he has run since 1992, and has won numerous awards, including the Bamako Forum prize for best African journalist of the decade in 2020.
