RTS secures broadcasting rights for African qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup™

RTS has signed an agreement with Marketing & Media Solutions to obtain the broadcasting rights for the African qualifying matches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

As we announced a few weeks ago, Marketing & Media Solutions (MMS) and PC Plus Group Holding SA (PC Plus Group) have partnered to manage and market the free-to-air television rights for the African Qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ in 42 sub-Saharan African countries for the matches of each territory's respective national team.

In Senegal, RTS signed an agreement with Marketing & Media Solutions to obtain broadcasting rights across all media (television, radio, and digital) for the African qualifying matches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In a press release, RTS announced that it had "acquired the exclusive rights to broadcast the draw, as well as the digital rights for social media and radio. RTS is committed to broadcasting all matches live, as well as highlights. Match highlights will be of unlimited duration, and broadcasting will be strictly limited to Senegal for free distribution only. RTS management emphasizes its commitment to this restriction, whether on television, its website, its app, or on social media."

Remember that the qualifying phase begins on November 15, 2023, and Senegal's first match will be played on November 18, which leaves very little time for RTS to organize marketing with advertisers and communication with the general public.
