Kim Younes Charbit nominated to become president of TV5 Monde

Three months after Yves Bigot's departure, TV5 Monde is preparing to appoint a new president. Kim Younes Charbit, 42, will be officially confirmed in this position at the board meeting on October 2. Her appointment, proposed by France, is expected to be approved by all shareholder countries.

Kim Younes Charbit is a graduate of HEC and spent most of her career at M6, where she headed the marketing, innovation, and communications department until 2019. She then briefly served as CEO of BFM Business before founding and running ELVIE PRODUCTIONS, an audiovisual production company, in 2020.

At the helm of TV5 Monde, Kim Younes Charbit faces several challenges, including reorganizing certain departments and implementing solutions to meet employee expectations. She will also have to restructure the news department, currently under interim management, and address the challenges of the channel's international expansion.

His term of office is expected to begin shortly after his appointment, marking a new phase for TV5 Monde amid a period of reorganization and development.
