The winners of the 2024 "Dakar Series" festival

The second edition of the "Dakar Series" festival, held from October 8 to 12, has announced its verdict.

The jury chaired by Senegalese Angel DIABANG awarded the Grand Prize for Feature Film

to the series "OR BLANC" directed by the Franco-Ivorian couple Johanna and Clément BOYER-DILOLO, produced by ON EST ENSEMBLE PRODUCTIONS, and broadcast in August on CANAL+ Premiere.


"BIG GIRL SMALL WORLD" by Nick MUTUMA (Kenya) received the award for Best Short Series, as well as the award for Best Actress for June Njenga and the award for Best Editing.


The other main prizes were awarded to:

Hassan KACHACH (Algeria): Best Actor Award in DMOU 3 LAWLIA

Ntobéko SISHI (South Africa): Most Promising Male Actor in the series "STOUT"

Oumy NDONG in "WASSANAM" by Pape Abdoulaye SECK: Best Female Newcomer Award


"YAAY 2.0," by Senegalese director Kalista SYA: Best Screenplay Award in the short film category 


NIABLA: Best Photography Award

"AL MOUKHTAFI" (The Missing One): Best Music Award.

"GALETTE DES ROIS" by Mamadou LO (Senegal): Best Pitch Award,

A special mention was awarded to Françoise ELONG (Cameroon) for the series "EWUSU."
