The future governance of CANAL+ SA is taking shape

The Vivendi Group's Combined Shareholders' Meeting will be held on December 9 and will examine resolutions to approve the separation of Canal+, Havas, and Louis Hachette Group.

The press release issued by Vivendi on this occasion specifies, among other things, the governance structure that will be implemented with regard to CANAL+SA if these resolutions are approved: 

Yannick Bolloré will be Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Canal+ and Maxime Saada will be Chairman of the Management Board. The Supervisory Board will be composed of 12 members, including 8 independent members.

The Executive Board will consist of Maxime Saada, Jacques du Puy (Deputy Chief Executive Officer), Amandine Ferré (Chief Financial Officer), and Anna Marsh (Deputy Chief Executive Officer).

It should be noted that in a press release published on September 20, Vivendi announced that the CANAL+ group would consist of three divisions:

CANAL+ EUROPE – comprising the Group's subscription pay-TV activities (including OTT) and free-to-air advertising-supported television in France, French overseas territories and adjacent territories, Poland, Central Europe and Benelux (through its wholly-owned subsidiary M7), as well as telecommunications services in French overseas territories;

CANAL+ AFRICA AND ASIA – comprising subscription pay-TV and free-to-air advertising-funded television activities, GVA, CanalOlympia theaters across French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa, as well as subscription pay-TV activities in Vietnam, Myanmar, and the Pacific;

CONTENT PRODUCTION, DISTRIBUTION, AND OTHER – including Studiocanal, Dailymotion, Théma, as well as L’Olympia and the Théâtre de l’Œuvre.
