The first season of Cacao aired in June 2020 on CANAL+.
This 12-episode series, each episode lasting 52 minutes, directed by ALEX OGOU, produced by TANKA Studio and co-produced by CANAL+ INTERNATIONAL, featured two rival cocoa-producing families, the Desvas and the Ahiteys, who were fighting for control of the cocoa trade in the Caodji region.
Five years later, season 2 arrives on CANAL+ Pop with new characters and a new enemy: illegal gold mining.
This season is now produced by Plan A, Alex Ogou's company.
Although season 2 is arriving five years after season 1 aired, the filming, editing, and post-production took place in record time, since exactly one year ago to the day, Plan A launched its search for several actors for this series.
