TV5MONDE, the French-language channel, will exclusively broadcast season 3 of its short program dedicated to portraits of influential women in Africa, "Femmes d'Afrique en Action" (Women of Africa in Action), for one month starting March 1. International Women's Day will thus be celebrated every day in March on TV5MONDE, in addition to March 8.
A true reflection of a dynamic and diverse Africa that is thriving, the program "FEMMES D'AFRIQUE EN ACTION" highlights personalities who are contributing to the continent's economic and cultural emergence.
Produced by Onyx Consulting in co-production with TV5MONDE, this program has been specially designed as a gallery of 31 four-minute portraits revealing the journeys of influential women entrepreneurs who, through their initiatives and actions, serve as role models in the development of African economies.
Through these portraits, viewers will meet women with inspiring backgrounds who are successfully working in fields as diverse as the arts, media, finance, technology, agriculture, politics, the environment, education, cosmetics, and health.
A new portrait from "Women of Africa in Action" will be broadcast every day throughout March, from March 1 to 31, 2022, on TV5MONDE channels, and will be available to watch again on the Africa digital platform (website and dedicated app) after the broadcast.
