TV5MONDEplus facilitates access to its content in the DRC with Orange DRC

Starting this Monday, June 24, 2024, Orange Democratic Republic of Congo will offer its subscribers "TV5MONDEplus" internet packages. These more generous dedicated packages will give Orange subscribers access to all content on the TV5Mondeplus VOD (Video On Demand) platform (films, series, documentaries, music, etc.).

This partnership between TV5MONDE and Orange DRC marks the French-language channel's desire to join forces with local operators in sub-Saharan Africa to facilitate their access to premium content. In addition, the user experience has been optimized to offer the lowest possible latency when playing video streams.

For Orange DRC, this partnership is tangible proof of the commitments made to its subscribers through its new slogan, "Orange is there." Thanks to this unique and exclusive package in the DRC, Orange is reaffirming its position as a trusted player, there for its subscribers at every stage of their journey and in all circumstances.

On TV5MONDEplus, the DRC ranks first in terms of audience size in sub-Saharan Africa. This partnership between TV5MONDE and Orange DRC will increase Congolese interest in the platform's content.

The official signing of this partnership took place today in Kinshasa in the presence of Mr. Ben Cheick Haidara, CEO of Orange DRC, Patrick Bofunda and David Gueye, respectively Director of TV5MONDE Afrique and Deputy Director of Digital and Innovation at TV5MONDE. Mr. Haidara said he was "extremely proud to be able, thanks to this package, to facilitate access to quality content for the more than 14 million customers who place their trust in us every day."
