TV5MONDE: Season 2 of Wara available on the TV5MONDEplus platform

On October 4, TV5MONDE will launch the second season of the hit series WARA: "LA DESTINEE D'AÏCHA" on its free global French-language platform TV5MONDEplus. This six-episode, 45-minute socio-political series, created by Charli Beleteau based on an original idea by Magagi Issoufou Sani, was directed by Oumar Diack and Marc R'Ogayoni Tchicot. Filming took place in Senegal between Dakar and St Louis.

Synopsis

A fifth-year law student, rebel, and active member of the UPLD (Union for Democracy) office, Aïcha Diallo is determined to shake things up. Young Aïcha's destiny is turned upside down when her mentor, Professor Moutari Wara, is caught up in accusations related to his past. His electoral defeat reshuffles the deck. Supported by young people, Aïcha runs for municipal office in Moutari's place. The discovery of her origins gives her the courage to overcome the powerful forces that are organizing against her.
