The Abidjan International Audiovisual Content Exhibition (SICA) 2025, held from June 26 to 28 at the Sofitel Hotel Ivoire, confirmed its ambition to position Côte d'Ivoire as a true hub for African audiovisual content.
The closing ceremony was held on Friday, June 27, 2025, in the presence of several dignitaries, including Mr. Amadou Coulibaly, Minister of Communication and Government Spokesperson, Ms. Françoise Remarck, Minister of Culture and Francophonie, Mr. Siandou Fofana, Minister of Tourism and Leisure, Mr. Florentino Fernando Dias, Minister of Social Communication of Guinea-Bissau, Mr. Meité Sindou, Director General of the Media Support and Development Agency (ASDM), as well as many actors from the cultural and media sector, both Ivorian and foreign.
The ceremony continued with the announcement of the winners of the SICA 2025 Pitch by Ms. Patricia Kalou, President of the jury.
Professional film/series: Franck Vlehi for "Manley"
Amateur film/series: Paule Andréa for "Paire de trois"
Documentary: Djeneba Ouattara for "Tout en Direct"
Other audiovisual streams: Yatto Junior for "Aucun Repos"
The first Golden SICA was awarded posthumously to Roger Fulgence Kassy, an iconic figure in Ivorian television.
All these awards come with financial grants ranging from 5 to 25 million CFA francs to enable the winners to finance their future projects.
In addition, "Ahouaney," produced by RTI and hosted by Tata Naomie, was recognized for its educational value.
The entertainment program "Télé d'ici," broadcast on NCI, was praised for the quality of its content and presentation. (Cheick Yvhane)
Konnie Touré, host on Life TV, was recognized for her professionalism and charismatic on-air presence.
Like previous editions, SICA 2025 has helped strengthen ties between producers, broadcasters, investors, and institutions, while promoting the co-production and export of African content.
The dates for SICA 2026 have also been announced. It will take place from November 25 to 27, 2026.
