The Pavillon Afriques organized in Cannes from May 17 to 26, 2022

The Pavillon Afriques will once again be set up in the heart of the Cannes Film Festival's international village from May 17 to 26, 2022.

The Pavillon Afriques is the meeting place for professionals from the continent and will be held for the third consecutive year as part of the Cannes Film Festival's Film Market section.

All players in the film industry from the continent or the diaspora are invited to come together to showcase the innovation and technology that are changing the filmmaking process and costs. The ambition is also to create a unique venue for film trade and promotion that highlights the diversity and plurality of African film and television content.

Here are some of the main themes that will be addressed during the event:

  • "Empowering the film industry in Africa and its diaspora to take control of its future."
  • "The role of criticism in the development of African cinema."
  • Co-production day with round tables (including one organized by the OIF), case studies, and a networking session between producers.
