The next edition of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 will take place in MOROCCO.

The Confederation of African Football has awarded the organization of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2025 to Morocco and the 2027 edition to Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

The allocation of the 2025 and 2027 Africa Cup of Nations was made based on detailed reports from independent evaluation firms that visited and assessed the candidate countries.

The independent firm Roland Berger conducted the evaluations for the organization of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. For the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, PricewaterhouseCoopers ("PwC") led the operations.

Dr. Patrice Motsepe, CAF President, said: "The CAF Executive Committee (COMEX) was impressed by the quality of the presentations made by the candidate countries and the reports produced by Roland Berger and PWC. We would like to congratulate Morocco, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. We are confident that they will meet all the criteria we have set for the successful organization of the respective AFCON tournaments awarded.

I am also delighted that our commitment to ensuring that each of the six CAF zones hosts an AFCON tournament has been recognized by the awarding of the 2027 edition to Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, members of the CECAFA zone. The last time this region hosted the tournament was in 1976 in Ethiopia.

Mr. Véron Mosengo-Omba, Secretary General of CAF, will visit Morocco, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda to discuss and ensure that the commitments made by the countries organizing these competitions are fulfilled.
