On December 12, TV5MONDE will broadcast La Piste de la Francophonie pour la planète, a special live program starting at 7:00 p.m. across 17 cities around the world and five continents.
This third edition follows on from the Tour du monde de la Francophonie (World Tour of the French-speaking World), broadcast in 2017, which highlighted the presence of the French language on every continent, and the Piste de la Francophonie (Trail of the French-speaking World) in 2019, which showcased the richness and diversity of French-speaking cultures.
In 2023, TV5 Monde is committed to protecting the planet and focuses on the environment, protecting the planet, and combating global warming, with the aim of raising awareness and highlighting the mobilization and commitment of the French-speaking world.
La Piste de la Francophonie pour la planète will be launched by Françoise Joly and Chloé Nabédian in Paris at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12, and will continue in Mayotte at 7:00 a.m., then in Victoria, Seychelles, at 8:00 a.m., then on to Wallis and Futuna, Athens, Monaco, Yaoundé, Geneva, Dakar, Cotonou, Brussels, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Tahiti, Rabat, Fort-de-France, Baton Rouge, and Montreal, before returning to Paris from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

In each city, a 52-minute program will be presented by a journalist from TV5 Monde's partner channels (France Télévisions, RTS, RTBF, TVMONACO, Radio-Canada, Télé-Québec, and TV5 Québec Canada), accompanied, in some destinations, by a TV5MONDE journalist.
On the program: French-speaking personalities and talents from the destination in question, from the worlds of culture, art, science, academia, and politics. Discussions and reports will punctuate the various segments.
This special program will be broadcast live on all TV5MONDE channels, on the website, and on social media.
Yves Bigot, CEO of TV5MONDE: "TV5MONDE, the global channel, is committed to the planet. The environment, ecology, the fight against global warming, and the preservation of diversity are at the heart of TV5MONDE's actions and values."
