The 10th edition of the Sotigui Awards, which honors the best African actors and actresses, took place on November 15 in Ouagadougou.
The SOTIGUI D'OR was awarded to Senegalese actor Ibrahim Mbaye for his role in Simon Moutairou's film Ni Chaînes Ni Maîtres (No Chains, No Masters). Ibrahim Mbaye also received the SOTIGUI DU MEILLEUR ACTEUR DE LA DIASPORA (Best Actor in the Diaspora) award for the same role.
The SOTIGUI DU PUBLIC AFRICAIN award was presented to Hortavie Mpondo (Cameroon) for his role in "Revelations Scandaleuses" by Ebenezer Kepombia.

The SOTIGUI AWARD FOR BEST YOUNG AFRICAN ACTOR went to Rosine Nguemgaing (Cameroon) in Ghislain Towa's "Classe A Part."
The SOTIGUI AWARD FOR BEST AFRICAN NEWCOMER was awarded to Pape Aly Diop (Senegal) in "Timpi Tampa" by Adama Bineta Sow.
The SOTIGUI AWARD FOR BEST BURKINABE ACTOR went to Dramane Ouedraogo (Burkina Faso) in "Katanga, La Danse Des Scorpions" by Dani Kouyate, and the award for BEST BURKINABE ACTRESS went to Coulibaly Hafissatou (Burkina Faso) in "Les Invertieuses" by Aïcha Boro.
The SOTIGUI AWARD FOR BEST ACTOR IN WEST AFRICA went to Cheikh Babou Gaye (Senegal) in Khalifa Ba's "Nanas."
The SOTIGUI AWARD FOR BEST ACTOR/ACTRESS IN CENTRAL AFRICA was awarded to Thérèse Ngono (Cameroon) in "Indomptables" by Thomas Ngjiol.

The SOTIGUI AWARD FOR BEST AFRICAN NEWCOMER was awarded to Diariatou Sow (Senegal) in "Credule" by Almoukhtari Jantler.
