Senegal's Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy (MCEN) has published a provisional list of 10 television channels registered with DMS (Déclaration Media Sénégal) in accordance with Senegal's press law:
- Label Media Plus: publisher of the LABEL TV channel
- Mourchid Communication Group LLC: publisher of MOURCHID TV
- Walfadjiri Group: publisher of WALF TV
- The RDV TV group: publisher of the Radio Dunyaa Vision TV channel
- Emedia, which publishes the ITV channel
- Origine SA, which publishes the 2STV channel
- Promoconsulting group, publisher of the REWMI TV channel
- Groupe Futurs Media, publisher of TFM (Télé Futurs Medias)
- Global Media SA, publisher of GLOBAL TV (GTV)
- And RTS, which publishes the public service channels RTS 1 and RTS 2 and the regional channels RTS 3 TAMBA, RTS 4 Casamance, and RTS 5 Matam.
This initial list of 112 beneficiaries across all media does not include SEN TV, which belongs to the D Media group and yet ranks third in terms of audience share according to the latest Médiamétrie study.
This list, which currently represents only a small part of the Senegalese media landscape, has sparked numerous reactions. As a reminder, in 2023, more than 500 beneficiaries were identified as part of the allocation of the Press Development Support Fund.
