The development of digital technology in Africa is accompanied by the arrival of international startups seeking new opportunities on the continent.
Recently, the startup Heetch decided to accelerate its expansion on the African continent. The French ride-hailing platform, now present in eight countries on the continent, has just announced the launch of its activities in Bamako, the capital of Mali. This launch was made possible thanks to a local partnership with Malian entrepreneur Mamadou Sinsy Coulibaly. This type of local partnership is crucial to the success of many ventures on the continent, as it allows companies to understand and integrate local specificities into their business model.
Heetch's development on the African continent was also made possible by €34 million in fundraising and financial support from the Tunisian private equity firm AfricInvest, which chose to invest $4 million in the startup.
