Answers 

Q1: The DRC is the country with the highest cumulative television audience (98%). The average for the eight countries studied is 93%.

Q2: TV viewing time in Mali is 2 hours and 13 minutes, compared to an average of 4 hours and 5 minutes across the eight countries studied. Along with Burkina Faso (2 hours and 42 minutes), it is the only country where daily TV viewing is less than 3 hours and 40 minutes.

Q3: BURKINA FASO is the country where radio is listened to the most (88% cumulative audience), while this medium is listened to by an average of 50% of respondents in the eight countries surveyed.

Q4: CAMEROON, GABON, and IVORY COAST have the same level of daily radio audience, the lowest of the eight countries studied (36%).

Q5: The average time spent watching television is significantly higher than that spent on the internet (4 hours and 5 minutes per day compared to only 1 hour and 42 minutes for the internet). 

Q6 and Q7: SENEGAL is the country where internet use is most widespread. 74% of Senegalese people go online every day. In this country, the gap between TV and internet consumption is much smaller than in all other countries: 3 hours and 41 minutes for TV compared to 2 hours and 31 minutes for the internet. 

Q8: TIKTOK now has significantly more users than Facebook in Senegal (77% for TIK TOK versus 65% for Facebook). It is the only country where this is the case.

Q9: On average across the eight countries, WhatsApp is the platform with the highest number of registered users, ahead of Facebook (86% versus 82%). 

Q10: Snapchat surpasses Instagram in all countries except the Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Gabon, and Congo.
