The Board of Directors of TV5MONDE, chaired by Delphine Ernotte Cunci, Chairwoman of France Télévisions, today unanimously appointed Ms. Kim Younes Charbit to the position of Chairwoman and CEO of TV5MONDE for a five-year term. a position that had been filled on an interim basis since July 2024 by Mr. Christophe Tardieu, Secretary General of France Télévisions. The Board of Directors would like to warmly thank and congratulate Christophe Tardieu.
On France's recommendation, Ms. Younes Charbit's candidacy was approved by all of TV5MONDE's funding countries (Canada, the Swiss Confederation, the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, the Principality of Monaco, and Quebec) after extensive consultation.

Kim Younes is a seasoned professional in the audiovisual, media, and digital worlds, having held various management positions over the past 20 years. Kim Younes Charbit took up his duties immediately.
After graduating from HEC (Master Grande Ecole) in 2006, Kim Younes began her career at the strategy consulting firm Oliver Wyman, before joining the M6 Group in 2008 as a project manager in the Programming Department. There, she held several management positions in various areas, including programming, budgeting, and advertising sales, with a strong focus on digital technology and innovation.
In 2019, Kim Younes joined the Altice Group as Managing Director of BFM Business. In 2021, she founded Elvie Productions and produced several fiction films and documentaries in partnership with international producers, focusing in particular on high-impact topics.
