TV5MONDE launched the series "NO BLABLA," created and directed by François Bergeron and co-written by Basile Yawanké, as a world exclusive on its French-language platform TV5MONDEplus a few weeks ago.
This 10-episode science fiction series, each episode lasting 26 minutes, was presented at DAKAR Series a few weeks ago and is also being presented at SICA.
In addition to TV5 Monde plus, which had an exclusive period, since October 29, "NO BLABLA" has also been broadcast on TV5MondeAfrique.
Both burlesque, realistic, and poetic, the series was filmed mainly in Burkina Faso.
Through the words of a griot, she tells the epic tale of BLABLA, an African migrant who wants to escape his circumstances and try his luck illegally in a more prosperous world. But on the road, BLABLA falls in love and, despite all the dangers, decides to stay and live out a forbidden love.
BLABLA is played by Togolese actor Basile Yawenké. The narrator Griot is played by storyteller and slam poet Kientega Pingdewindé Gérard, known as KPG.
Forced marriages, stigmatization of people with disabilities, environmental issues, plundering of universal assets, tracking of individuals, prostitution, poverty, lack of justice, and corruption are all serious and universal themes addressed by series creator François Bergeron with a touch of irony in this series.
