At a time when players are competing for the global VOD market, the CANAL+ group has officially unveiled a new version of its MyCANAL platform.
Initially designed as a platform dedicated to replay and live television, the MyCANAL platform will focus on aggregating several video-on-demand service applications such as Netflix, Disney+ and OCS.
Today, the French group claims a digital presence of 15 million monthly users in France and nearly 50,000 hours of on-demand and linear content. These indicators have prompted CANAL+ to place the development of its digital platform at the heart of its strategy.
In addition to revamping the MyCANAL platform, the group intends to leverage its local presence to roll out its SVOD service internationally. MyCANAL will thus be available in around 20 countries in Africa in early 2021.
