MARABOUT CHERI is the story of Rose and Richard, a perfect couple: a villa in Cocody and a luxury car… Everything seems to be going well for them until the day an auditor arrives at Richard's company to examine his accounts. Panic sets in, and that's when the trouble starts!
Like many of his peers, Richard has been overcharging the government… Desperate times call for desperate measures! The couple decides to put their fate in the hands of a marabout, and not just any marabout: Marabout Chéri.
Charismatic and charming, this marabout sets about averting the danger. But very quickly, he takes on a slightly too important role within the household and causes the couple's relationship to falter!
Produced by BLACK ARMADA (LES TROIS LASCARS) and BLACK ANGEL, Kadhy Touré's production company, and co-produced with CANAL+, MARABOUT CHERI is a humorous cocktail of maraboutage and couple dynamics, punctuated by twists and turns and highly comical situations.
