The Ivorian television channel LIFE TV has announced that it has acquired the free-to-air broadcasting rights for UEFA Euro 2020 in Côte d'Ivoire.
After one year in operation, one of the new DTT channels has secured exclusive rights to broadcast the football competition in Côte d'Ivoire, which will take place from June 11 to July 11, 2021.
In addition, the channel's management has announced that it has signed a partnership with TVMS (Télévision Media Sport) to also broadcast a series of magazines before and during the event, as well as programs and highlights of all the matches.
"All Life TV staff are mobilized to ensure the success of this exceptional operation, which will confirm to all Ivorians the relevance of our programming, including sports,"said Life TV CEO Fabrice Sawegnon.
The broadcast of Euro matches in clear and HD is excellent news for Ivorians, who will be able to access these programs free of charge as long as they receive Life TV. It is also a spectacular publicity coup for the channel, even if the profitability of such an event will not be obvious given the time constraints.
It should also be noted that CANAL+, which launched its advertising offers at the end of April, will also broadcast all the matches to its subscribers.
