A few months ahead of the 28th Africa-France Summit, the French government has launched the CHALLENGE 1000 African Entrepreneurs in collaboration with Digital Africa.
1,000 African entrepreneurs will be invited to present their projects at the trade show dedicated to solutions for sustainable cities and territories, organized as part of the Summit.
The selection of entrepreneurs will meet the following criteria:
- Be an African entrepreneur with a business related to one of the seven districts of the Cité des Solutions
- Gender parity
- Geographical balance of entrepreneurs' origins
- Balance of themes across the seven districts (Access to essential services, Feeding cities, Developing and beautifying cities, Getting around and visiting cities, Living in cities, Financing and structuring projects, Connecting cities)
- Be the bearer of an innovative or replicable solution, at low cost and with a strong impact, to make French and African cities more sustainable from an environmental and social point of view
- Be registered on the Digital Africa platform.
Applications are open until January 31, 2020.
It should be noted that the Digital Africa association was created following the desire of the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, to accompany and support African entrepreneurial dynamism.
