Ivory Coast: TV viewership and internet usage in Abidjan – May 2021

Médiamétrie has published the audience figures for the May 2021 interim wave of its regular declarative television audience measurement in Côte d'Ivoire (May 1 to 16, 2021), conducted in partnership with Omedia.

Since 2019, Côte d'Ivoire has been transitioning to digital television. Between May 1 and 16, 2021, more than four in ten Abidjan residents were familiar with DTT (46.5%). Among them, 61.5% intend to purchase an adapter to receive digital television, representing 28.6% of Abidjan residents.

Internet

52.1% of respondents said they had connected to the internet the day before.

When it comes to social media, Facebook is still the most popular platform, followed by Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Among social media users, 45.7% said they log on every day or almost every day.
