According to data collected by the Omedia Institute in Cameroon, TV advertising investments increased by +37% in the third quarter of 2023 compared to the third quarter of 2022.
Events played a major role in this growth: FOCAB (China-Cameroon Business Cooperation Forum) and FIAC (Douala International Trade and Business Fair) were among the top three advertisers in July and August.
With this record growth, the Cameroonian TV advertising market is recovering somewhat after a sharp decline at the beginning of the year.
It should be remembered that the first few months of 2023 were comparable to those of the previous year, which had been boosted by the Africa Cup of Nations.
Overall, for the first nine months of the year, IPTV in Cameroon remains 6.7% below last year's figures.
