After Senegal and Ivory Coast, ADWEKNOW was able to assess how brands managed their TV advertising presence in Cameroon during 2021.

Our analysis
The television advertising markets in Cameroon, Senegal, and Ivory Coast are very different from one another. Although all three countries have two main categories of brands—those present all year round and those present for only one month of the year—there are notable differences.
In Cameroon, no brand dominates the top spots: MTN Cameroon leads for three months out of its 12-month presence, while Orange Senegal occupies first place for 10 months out of 12.
Seven different brands lead for at least one month of the year in Cameroon, compared to three in Senegal and five in Côte d'Ivoire.
The TOP 10 brands that only advertise for one month of the year represent 50% of the total, compared to 75% in Côte d'Ivoire and 40% in Senegal.
The Cameroonian market is dominated by telecom operators MTN Cameroon, ORANGE Cameroon, and gambling brands: 1XBET, PREMIER Bet, PMU Cameroon, and PMU BET.com, and CASH TV BET, which together occupy nearly 80% of the TOP 3 spots, while in Senegal, the TOP 3 consists of telecom operators, of course, but also food and health and beauty brands.
The beer market, which is a very important sector in Cameroon, is represented by three brands: MUTZIG, GUINNESS, and CASTEL BEER.
