KANTAR, in partnership with Adweknow, is organizing a webinar on CSR Communication in Africa, which will be held on May 30. Florence Ginier, Director of Media Measurement, Media & Creative Consulting at KANTAR, kindly provided us with some details about the event.
Can you tell us how the idea to organize this webinar came about?
Kantar Insights has always supported brands in their development strategies, as our tagline, Shape your brand future, indicates. Today, in order to project themselves into the future, brands must adapt and take CSR into account in their strategy.
Our annual global study, now in its third edition, the Sustainability Sector Index, provides an international perspective on this topic, covering 33 markets and 44 sectors. As part of our Africascope study, we wanted to explore this topic in greater depth, specifically within the pan-African scope of the French-speaking sub-Saharan region. We thought it would be interesting to summarize all our knowledge on the subject and share it in a webinar.
Who is this webinar primarily intended for?
This webinar is aimed at all economic players, brands, and media outlets that are established or wish to expand in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa. It will give them a better understanding of how the population in this specific region perceives societal and environmental issues and how they can establish or strengthen their leadership on this essential topic.
How will it be structured and what key issues will be addressed?
It will be hosted by Marina Cozzika, Deputy Marketing Director at Kantar Insights, who will introduce the webinar and will focus on several CSR topics:
- The main societal and environmental challenges from the perspective of the population in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa
- The commitment of the local population in their daily lives, and the impact of environmental and social considerations on their consumption
- And the importance of the role of economic actors in supporting the population through this transformation, whether it be the media or product or service brands.
There will be three highlights:
– Presentation of the results of the study we conducted as part of Africascope
– A presentation by Aissatou Mar, Lead Kantar in French-speaking Africa, who will enrich and illustrate these results with findings from other Kantar studies such as Africa Life and Sustainability Sector Index.
– And finally, a round table discussion bringing together Canal+, France Média Monde, and TV5MONDE, all of which are present in this area. Their testimonials will provide crucial insight to this webinar.
