Ipsos, one of the world's leading market research companies, present in 90 markets and employing nearly 20,000 people worldwide, announced in a press release that it has entered into exclusive negotiations to acquire The BVA Family.
With more than 900 employees in total, The BVA Family has a significant presence in France, the United Kingdom, and Italy. Its brands include BVA (France), Doxa (Italy), BDRC (United Kingdom), and PRS IN VIVO (one of the world leaders in packaging testing).
The completion of this transaction is subject to the usual regulatory consultations and approvals, in particular the completion of procedures for informing and consulting with employee representative bodies in France, as well as obtaining approvals from the relevant competition authorities.
According to Ipsos, these two organizations, founded in the 1970s, share common values: an entrepreneurial culture, a strong customer focus, and a people-centered approach.

Although this merger mainly concerns Europe (the United Kingdom, France, and Italy), it should be noted that IPSOS already has a presence in English-speaking Africa, with offices in Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia, as well as in North Africa, with offices in Morocco and Tunisia.
In French-speaking Africa, Ipsos acquired Omedia in July 2023 and has offices in Ivory Coast and Senegal.
BVA, for its part, was one of the companies recently consulted by the HACA to measure radio and television audiences in Côte d'Ivoire.
