During DISCOP, held in Johannesburg from November 20 to 22, 2019, at the Sandton Convention Center, the Côte Ouest stand, a true gateway to the African audiovisual market, was constantly busy despite lower attendance at this latest edition.
Over the three days of the market, Côte Ouest accumulated 41 important professional meetings.
It should be noted that the line-up of the continent's leading audiovisual distributor was particularly attractive this year. From NARCOS to EL CHAPO, including the latest productions from its partner Globo, such as the telenovela "THE ORPHANS OF NATION" and action series such as ARUANAS (https://screening.globo.com/content/aruanas) IRON ISLAND (https://screening.globo.com/content/iron-island) and UNDER PRESSURE (https://screening.globo.com/content/under-pressure).
And, of course, the famous Golden Standard film at FESPACO 2019: THE MERCY OF JUNGLE.
There was also talk of original creations and co-productions, as well as two agreements of paramount importance. All will be revealed on these subjects soon.
