Dakar Series: winners of the first edition

In recent years, media news in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa has been dominated by the release of new series. Audiovisual production is booming, with Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal leading the way.

Projects are multiplying, driven by a new generation of talent, fueled by the liberalization of the landscape, boosted by the rise of digital platforms, and nourished by increasingly significant investments.

To reflect this dynamic, the Senegalese capital hosted "Dakar Séries," the first pan-African festival dedicated to series, chaired by the illustrious actor Issaka Sawadogo.

In an interview with Adweknow, event organizer Séraphine Angoula said: "Series are part of an increasingly prolific industry. This density of series production is

enabling the training of new generations of professionals who alternate between series, film, and other audiovisual content productions."

The event highlighted African series and gave visibility to projects on the international scene, as well as rewarding talent. Here are the winners of this first edition:
