COTE OUEST audiovisuel announces the launch on April 19 of AFRONOVELAS, the first channel entirely dedicated to African soap operas.
The African audiovisual landscape is already rich in romantic series, whether through channels entirely devoted to this theme, such as Novelas TV, Nina Novelas, Passion Novelas, etc., or in the large time slots devoted to this audiovisual genre on public or private channels.
Until now, these channels have mainly been fed by content from South America (Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, etc.) and, more recently, Turkish telenovelas.
With AFRO NOVELAS, Côte Ouest Audiovisuel is bringing a real innovation, as there has been no French-language channel dedicated to African romantic series until now.
This has been made possible thanks to the talent of African writers and producers who, in recent years, have created a thriving local telenovela industry.
AFRO NOVELA will be broadcast in high definition on the EUTELSAT E8W satellite and will be available from April 19, 2021.
