CANAL+'s magazine program "Enquête d'Afrique" returns to the African continent.

CANAL+'s magazine program "Enquête d'Afrique" is returning to the African continent. This is a first in the history of this flagship CANAL+ Afrique program.

As a reminder, "Enquête d'Afrique" is a magazine program featuring in-depth reports and investigations dedicated to current events on the continent. Presented by Patrick Fandio, the magazine immerses viewers in the latest news from African societies. After the report is broadcast, journalists are invited onto the set to analyze the context and recount what went on behind the scenes during filming.

Behind this latest magazine is the production company Hémisphère Africa, headed by journalist Patrick Fandio, who is responsible for its production. The journalist also took to social media to mention that this project was a showcase for the talent present on the continent, as well as the expertise required for a 100% local and 100% African program. Filming took place in Abidjan, the economic capital of Côte d'Ivoire.

"It is time for African professionals to return to the continent to engage in the battle for content that has already begun. Africa is or will become a land of conquest for the giants of international production. Are we going to accept that African structures cannot be present in this audiovisual sector, which we know has an influence on representations, minds, and ultimately power? Africans must also be able to tell their story to Africa and the world,"

Patrick Fandio said in an interview with Adweknow about the creation of his production company.

A symbolic repatriation, then, for an episode of Enquête d'Afrique broadcast on December 9 on CANAL+ Pop, on the theme of the revival of cinema on the continent, presented by Patrick Fandio, with Prudence Maidou and Olivier Kissita.
