CANAL+ CAN: the comeback

During the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, CANAL+ launched a temporary channel entirely dedicated to the competition: CANAL+CAN.

Given the channel's success two years ago, CANAL+ has decided to repeat the initiative.

Since December 1, CANAL+ CAN, the temporary channel, has been available on channel 16 for CANAL+

subscribers. As in 2023, it will offer:

Live broadcast of all matches. When two matches are played at the same time, CANAL+ SPORT 1 will broadcast one of the two matches.

Maximum editorial coverage provided by journalists, consultants, and experts stationed at the nine Moroccan stadiums, including exclusive content, behind-the-scenes reports, and more.

Two flagship programs, JOUR DE CAN and SOIR DE CAN, produced in an exclusive setting designed specifically for the event.

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will also be an opportunity for CANAL+CAN to offer viewers an immersive experience of the host country, the qualifying teams, and their cultures.

As we mentioned in our last article on the CAN, while the 32 most important matches will also be available to watch on free-to-air channels, it is through their editorial value that the channels will differentiate themselves.

On this occasion, CANAL+ launched an advertising campaign in French-speaking Africa with a common TV concept for English-speaking African countries, which can be seen here:

WITH CANAL+CAN, CANAL+ stays true to form and sets the bar very high.
