Cameroon Television Awards: CANAL2 INTERNATIONAL (Cameroon) and NCI (Ivory Coast) dominate the competition

The third edition of the Cameroon Television Awards was held on February 7, 2026, at the Palais des Sports in Yaoundé, with awards given in 36 categories covering news, entertainment, social programs, morning shows, and special audience awards.

The event is organized by Yolande Bodiong (SUN+ TV), a well-known and highly regarded producer in Cameroon and founder of the MARABOO agency, which aims to promote the entire audiovisual ecosystem.

Cameroonian channels and their flagship programs are, of course, the main beneficiaries of the prizes awarded at the Cameroon Television Awards.

CANAL 2 INTERNATIONAL was the most successful channel of the evening, winning a total of nine awards in the news, entertainment, magazine, and entertainment categories.

VISION 4 TV wins two major awards: "Tour d'Horizon": Best daily news magazine and "Au Cœur des Mystères": Most popular social program.

"Cameroun Feeling," broadcast by CRTV, is named Best Morning Show with

a particularly strong presence from Côte d'Ivoire.

In 2026, the Cameroon Television Awards opened new regional categories for television channels from other African countries.

Côte d'Ivoire, and in particular the NCI channel, has achieved a real "clean sweep" by winning the award for the best television channel in Central and West Africa.

Cheick YVHANE (NCI) is named "Best Infotainment Talk Show Host" in Central and West Africa, while his program LA TELE D'ICI wins the award for "Best Infotainment Talk Show."

Willy DUMBO (LIFE TV) is crowned "Best TV Host in Central and West Africa."

Yves DE MBELLA receives a "CTV builder award," a category that recognizes builders and influential figures in African broadcasting.

Yves de Mbella is a renowned show promoter, journalist, and radio and television host in Ivory Coast who has worked extensively at Nostalgie Radio and produced successful programs.

This year, the Cameroon Television Awards were not limited to Cameroonian actors alone, but were opened up to influential West African channels and presenters.

For the 2026 edition, the only awards outside Cameroon are for Côte d'Ivoire, but it is hoped that, over time, channels from other countries will join this list of winners.
