The Dakar Court Festival/CINEMAREKK Association and GREC, in partnership with France Télévisions and the French Embassy in Senegal/French Institute in Dakar, are launching a call for screenplays for a writing workshop aimed at 4-5 Senegalese directors for a first fiction film of no more than 15 minutes.
At the end of this workshop, led by a screenwriter and Augustin Diomaye Ngom, screenwriter and training manager for the CINEMAREKK Association's Professional Meetings / Dakar Short Film Festival. one of the participants will receive the GREC/France Télévisions Best Fiction Project Award: production of their short film by Grec with a pre-purchase by France Télévisions (financing and broadcast of the film on the program Histoires courtes on France 2 and France.tv).
The award will be presented during the closing ceremony of the Dakar Short Film Festival, which will take place from December 8 to 13, 2025.
The two-week writing workshop will take place from October 6 to 17, 2025 (provisional dates) in Dakar.
Conditions of participation:
• Be at least 18 years old;
• Reside in Senegal (all territories);
