The CANAL+ Group is delighted with the agreement reached with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and Lagardère Sports concerning the broadcasting rights for CAF's most prestigious official competitions. Thanks to this agreement, the best of African club and national team football will be broadcast on CANAL+ channels in French-speaking Africa for a period of seven years starting in January 2017.
The first must-see event will be the Total Africa Cup of Nations, GABON 2017, which will be broadcast live and in full on CANAL+SPORT channels from January 14 to February 5. Following this major sporting event, other major African competitions will also be broadcast, such as the Total African Nations Championship, the Total CAF Champions League, the Total CAF Confederation Cup, the Total CAF Super Cup, the qualifying matches for the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup, and the final stages of the Total Women's Africa Cup of Nations, the Total U17 Africa Cup of Nations, the Total U20 Africa Cup of Nations, the Total U23 Africa Cup of Nations, and the Total Futsal Africa Cup of Nations.
All of these competitions will receive unique coverage on the four CANAL+ SPORT channels, combining expertise and passion for soccer.
