TV5MONDE, the French-language channel, will exclusively broadcast season 2 of the short program that profiles influential men and women in Africa: "Ambitions" starting Sunday, March 5, on TV5MONDE Afrique.

"AMBITIONS" meets these men and women with inspiring life stories who are successfully working in fields as diverse and varied as agri-food, the environment, sports, health, real estate, telecommunications, artificial intelligence and new technologies, cultural and creative industries and media, finance, diplomacy, education, tourism and gastronomy, and even luxury and fashion… These are individuals who are "changing the game" on the African continent and who have agreed to share their stories with "AMBITIONS."
Among the 60 portraits:
Khadja NIN
Khadja Nin is a socially committed artist from Burundi. At the age of 21, Khadja was an orphan, a widow, and the mother of a little boy barely 3 years old. Her meeting in 1986 with musician and producer Nicolas Fiszman marked a turning point in her life. The release of her first album instantly earned her international status as an artist. After only three albums, she left the studio and the stage to travel the world with her husband, race car driver Jacky Ickx. Throughout her travels, she developed various projects with a strong social impact across Africa, including microcredit, grain cooperatives, drinking water, and the renovation of health centers and schools.
Dr. Benedict ORAMAH
Appointed President of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) in 2015, Nigerian Benedict Oramah now heads one of the most powerful financial institutions on the African continent, dedicated in particular to trade finance and support for banks.
Ylias AKBARALY
Born into a family of merchants, Ylias Akbaraly, who was born with a knack for business, is a powerful Madagascan businessman who built a veritable empire from a small family business. At the head of the REDLAND holding company, which comprises 20 companies, he continues to diversify and expand his group. He advocates a healthy, "karmic," and benevolent conception of the notion of "success." His ambition is to share the power of success with as many people as possible and, above all, to digitize the African continent in order to give African youth access to education, health, culture, and more, thereby ensuring their integration and the future of Africa in a now global world.
