Founded in 2002, ALSHANA CI specializes in distributing various audiovisual programs, such as telenovelas, Indian series, feature films, series, and youth programs in French-speaking Africa and the French overseas departments and territories.
Alshana currently operates two television channels: Passions TV and Savannah TV.
On April 6, Passions TV will change its name to Passion Novelas. With a new name and logo, Passion Novelas is revamping its look and reaffirming its positioning as a channel dedicated entirely to telenovelas from various countries (South America, Turkey, Portugal, India, the Philippines, and China).
In terms of programming, Passion Novelas will broadcast four soap opera slots per day, Monday through Friday, as well as international programming on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, consisting of:
– documentaries and reports on women's issues on Friday evenings
– an American series on Saturdays
– a romantic comedy or film starring a female character on Sunday evenings
The channel will broadcast flagship programs such as the Indian series "Ton coeur, Mon bonheur" (Your Heart, My Happiness) and the Portuguese series "La vengeance de Véronica" (Veronica's Revenge).
Passions TV, renamed Passion Novelas, is available in sub-Saharan Africa, as well as in Haiti and Réunion, on the distributors listed below.
