CANAL+ Advertising, the international advertising agency of the CANAL+ group, announces the appointment of Alexandre Cohen as Chief Executive Officer.
He reports to Fabrice Faux, Director of Channels and Content at CANAL+ International, with a mission to consolidate CANAL+ Advertising's leadership, continue its rapid development, particularly in local markets in sub-Saharan Africa, and accelerate its growth in the digital sector.
Alexandre Cohen is a graduate of the École de Management de Lyon and, after gaining initial experience at the Beijaflore consulting firm, he joined CANAL+ in 2008 as Area Manager, covering several West African countries from Benin to Mauritania. He took over as head of CANAL+ Gabon in 2012, before moving to Lomé in 2016 to develop the CANAL+ Togo subsidiary. Alexandre Cohen also spearheaded the development of new activities for the group through the launch of GVA's (Groupe Vivendi Africa) telecom business in Gabon and Togo, and the preparation of the arrival of the TNT Easy TV offering in Togo.
In addition, Pierre-Paul Vander Sande becomes SVP Advertising Strategy at CANAL+ International and will coordinate various development projects for CANAL+'s international activities across all its territories, particularly in the areas of advertising and audience measurement.
