The Ivorian Islamic religious television channel Al Bayane joined the other Ivorian digital terrestrial television channels on Friday, May 15.
This channel, broadcast on channel 8 of DTT and channel 208 of CANAL packages, is the country's first religious television channel and offers a variety of content related to education, culture, economics, and health, as well as programs dedicated to women, children, and young people, and programs of a social nature.
The channel broadcasts a daily news program at 7:45 p.m. covering general news.
AL BAYANE television intends to make "dialogue between religions an important part of its editorial line. According to its director general, "achieving peace requires the ability to engage in dialogue and initiate processes that enable peoples and populations to understand each other" and contribute to the country's socio-cultural development.
The Al Bayane Media Group also includes the leading radio station in Côte d'Ivoire in terms of audience share.
