TV5MONDE, the French-language channel, is broadcasting a new 15-episode economic magazine program called "L'Afrique en Chiffres"
(Africa in Figures)
exclusively on the web.
The web magazine "L'Afrique en Chiffres"
is a video module that addresses complex economic and social issues by presenting and analyzing key data from institutions as diverse as the World Bank, the United Nations, and specialized companies.
This data reflects the progress made by different countries on the continent on a variety of topics.
The web magazine "Africa in Figures"
is the brainchild of Cameroonian author and screenwriter Eding Labatut, who has taken on the challenge of popularizing economics through texts that are always funny, sometimes offbeat, and presented in a playful manner by the young Ivorian host Méliane Yao Kan.
"L'Afrique en chiffres," produced by the Ivorian company Cloud Studio, will be available from August 25 on the website afrique.tv5monde.com and on the free TV5MONDE Afrique app, with two new episodes per week.
