It was one of the major topics discussed at Adicomdays 2020, the African digital creativity event: the "voice," and more specifically podcasts, which raise questions about their future on the continent and their ability to become widespread. As Diane Audrey N'Gako pointed out on this occasion: "Culturally, we are used to consuming radio content, consuming 'oral' content, and we should not forget the potential of this format, particularly on social issues." In the same vein, the Adicomdays team chose podcasts to explore digital Africa.
The team has also unveiled a brand new podcast called "Adicom," featuring experts who are transforming the African digital scene. The podcast kicked off with a first episode focused on Deloitte's TMT Predictions 2023 study, highlighting trends in the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications sector. The episode is available on both Spotify and YouTube.
At the same time, the Adicomdays team announced the dates for the next edition of the event dedicated to digital creativity, which will take place on November 10 in Paris.
Organized by Totem Expérience, this 7th edition will be a special "Diaspora" edition with the main theme: "From content creator to business entrepreneur."
After Paris in 2017, Abidjan, and Dakar, the digital industry's premier event is making a grand return to the French capital to once again shine a spotlight on the digital communications ecosystem.
