The Africa-France Summit, to be held on October 8 in Montpellier, will be radically new in nature. Without heads of state or institutional authorities, it will be devoted exclusively to the youth of Africa and France who, every day, are building the future of the relationship between France and the African continent. Its ambition is to enable us to consider together the prospects and the first concrete actions to be taken to renew the relationship between our country and the African continent.
For the first time, hundreds of young entrepreneurs, artists, researchers, athletes, students, and committed personalities from Africa and France will come together to share this goal.
Focusing on five major themes—civic engagement, entrepreneurship and innovation, higher education and research, culture, and sports—they will spend half a day discussing how to forge new networks, design joint projects, and build bridges. These discussions will be preceded by working sessions and meetings in France and on the African continent in order to build genuine collective momentum leading up to the Summit and beyond.
