A+ IVOIRE, NCI, and RTI1 lead the ratings in Ivory Coast

Since the end of 2022, Médiamétrie has been providing its subscribers with TV audience ratings for a new area covering five major cities in Côte d'Ivoire: Abidjan, Bouaké, Daloa, Korhogo, and San Pedro.

The press release reporting the results for the first quarter of 2023 was published some time ago, and we were exceptionally given access to some results covering all Ivorian digital terrestrial television channels.

In total, the eight Ivorian channels available on DTT account for around 40% of total television viewership. The rest of the television audience is made up of pan-African and international channels.

If we focus exclusively on so-called DTT channels (which are actually broadcast on both DTT and other cable and satellite distribution networks), we can reconstruct audience shares for these channels alone.

A+ Ivoire ranks first in both audience share and listening time, followed by NCI and RTI1, as shown in the table below.

                                   PDA LISTENING TIME

A+ Ivory 34.2% 1h24

NCI 17.1% 1h12

RTI 1 16.6% 1h02

Life TV 13.0% 1h08

RTI2 8.5% 1h07

3 7.7% 1h06

7 Info 1.6% 55’

Al Bayane 1.3% 1h05
