A+ IVOIRE and CANAL+ ADVERTISING will be among the first players in the Ivorian audiovisual sector to use audience measurement data produced in Côte d'Ivoire. Launched by Omedia and Médiamétrie, the first regular declarative measurement of television audiences in Côte d'Ivoire will provide key indicators of television and radio audiences: cumulative audience, average quarter hour, audience share, audience duration per individual, and listening time per viewer or listener.
The results will be available every six weeks. Six waves of 560 interviews each are scheduled between now and the end of the year, at a rate of one wave every six weeks. They will enable individuals with a variety of profiles to be interviewed to find out about their consumption habits. The results of the first wave will be available in mid-June.
"Omedia and Médiamétrie provide us with a tool that will offer greater transparency to all players in our market. By measuring audiences, channels will be able to tailor content to the needs and preferences of viewers in Côte d'Ivoire," says Damiano MALCHIODI, Managing Director of A+ IVOIRE. "With this measurement, we will be even better equipped to advise our advertisers who want very accurate data on the audiences of Ivorian channels. In the context of the liberalization of the audiovisual sector, acquiring this data is essential," said Monica MOLLON, Managing Director of CANAL+ ADVERTISING.
With the emergence of new players and new tools, the audiovisual market in Côte d'Ivoire continues to evolve in order to create more value for advertisers and brands.
