On March 9, the Cameroonian media information platform Mediatude organized the 7th Media Awards ceremony in Douala, recognizing media professionals and web actors who distinguished themselves through their work in 2023.
19 awards were presented during the ceremony, which recognized in particular:
- Journalist Patrick FANDIO received the honorary award at this 7th edition, in recognition of his commitment to providing a different perspective to African media.
- Journalist Julienne Berthe BISSAI, as the favorite news anchor of internet users
- Alain Ghislain KANGA as favorite television news anchor.
- Aboudi OTTOU, editor-in-chief of Investir au Cameroun and coordinator of the local office of Agence Ecofin, wins the Martinez Zogo Award.
- Laura Dave, CEO of Laura Dave Media, wins the "Top Trend Media 2023" award.
- Solange Manga for "Grande Pause," a popular entertainment program broadcast every Friday on CRTV.
- The New Ivorian Channel (NCI) received the award for Cameroonians' favorite foreign channel.
