The webinar organized by Kantar in partnership with Sciences Po Grenoble and Adweknow provided an opportunity to present the main findings of Kantar's study on CSR communication.
This study sheds light on
- societal and environmental priorities for the population in French-speaking African countries covered by the Africascope study
- the way in which it approaches social and environmental issues in its daily activities, and the actions it is already taking or plans to take
- the way in which CSR issues shape African consumption patterns and, in particular, the extent to which price influences consumption.
The speakers also explained the actions they take on a daily basis in this area.
Among the many conclusions of this study is the preeminence of societal issues—combating poverty (62%), combating hunger (62%), quality education (62%)—over environmental issues in Africa, which include combating pollution (55%), combating deforestation (51%), and combating global warming (51%).
Question: I am going to mention some social and environmental issues. For each one, could you tell me whether you think it is a challenge that your country should address? (Yes, I completely agree)
